Whistle Collection
I was wandering through a flea market in Paris, France when I got the idea to create a collection of whistles. There were five silver whistles sitting on a table amongst other random trinkets. They seemed almost whimsical to me, but also an item that is so widely used. So I began to collect whistles from all around the world. Military whistles, police whistles, sports whistles, and my favorite, the tiny school house whistle from France. Each of the whistles are displayed in their original form, exactly how I found them.
The Acme Whistle Company, based in the UK, is the world’s largest and most famous whistle manufacturer. Founded in 1870, Acme has been the leading producer of whistles for sports, law enforcement, military and emergency services.
